Dr Luke Shin
Director, Principal Chiropractor, Personal Trainer at SPINELAB
Luke is a Korean-Kiwi chiropractor based on Auckland’s North Shore, with a strong background in health, sport, and performance.
His journey into chiropractic began during his Sports Science studies at the University of Auckland, where a transformative chiropractic experience sparked his interest in how the body moves, adapts, and recovers. That experience shaped his approach to care — one that prioritises function, movement quality, and long-term resilience.
Luke works with a wide range of people, from those dealing with everyday aches and injuries to athletes aiming to return to training and perform at their best. His care combines precise chiropractic treatment with movement-based rehabilitation and strength principles, helping patients move beyond short-term relief toward lasting confidence in how their body performs.
At SPINELAB, Luke’s focus is simple: to help people move well, recover properly, and build a body that lasts.
María Gallardo
Massage Therapist at SPINELAB
María joins SPINELAB's recovery team as an experienced massage therapist with a warm, client-first approach to hands-on care. Before moving to New Zealand, she owned and ran her own massage and beauty studio in Santiago, Chile, building a loyal client base through personalised treatment and attentive service. She has since practised massage therapy in Auckland, developing a versatile skill set across sports massage, Swedish and relaxation massage, pregnancy massage and hot stone therapy.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, María is known for her attentive, friendly manner and strong communication with clients from all backgrounds. She brings a professional, health-and-safety-conscious approach to every treatment, and tailors each session to help clients recover, relax and move better.
